An Exciting New Concept: JollyHeap Blocks!

Have you been to our new Scramble Parkour location yet? If not, you'll want to check it out – it represents three exciting new concepts for Scramble, and we want your reaction to them.

In this post, we're going to introduce you to JollyHeap soft magnetic blocks: fun, imagination-inspiring toys for toddlers, kids, teenagers, and adults!  

(We’ve already covered the first new concept – active parkour-like play for older kids, teens and adults – in a previous blog post. We’ll cover the third new concept related to Scramble Parkour, the Union Station Café, in a future blog post!)

WHAT ARE JOLLYHEAP BLOCKS?

JollyHeap blocks are soft, safe magnetic blocks for imaginative play. The basic block is a 4.5-inch cube, but they come in a variety of stackable forms. Kids can use them to build whatever they can imagine; the magnetized blocks stick together to create structural stability.

JollyHeap blocks are made of soft foam: highly elastic, resilient, and safe. We’ve found them to be super durable, easy to clean, and they always return to shape. Texturally, they’re quite pleasant to the touch – unlike a Lego brick, you can sit or step comfortably on them. And best of all: kids love them! We’ve watched them play with the blocks for hours, building elaborate designs and then knocking them down (which is just as much fun!)

We first saw these award-winning blocks at a European toy fair last year, and we were so impressed that we knew we had to bring them to the United States. In fact, we have more JollyHeap blocks than anyone else in North America!

BIG PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

In the near future, we plan on hosting JollyHeap-centered events at Scramble Parkour, such as building competitions and design challenges. We want everyone to become as excited about these blocks as we are!

And we want to hear your feedback about them too! We’re keenly interested to discover whether parents who visit our indoor play centers at Alexandria and Falls Church are interested in seeing JollyHeap blocks come to those locations.

A FINAL NOTE

As you know, safety is something we always prioritize at Scramble. We want to remind those with pacemakers or IEDs that JollyHeap blocks do contain small magnets. Also, if you ever find a torn or frayed JollyHeap block at Scramble(though this is unlikely), please bring it to a Scramble team member immediately. Thanks!
