
14 Jan Scramble Spring and Summer Camps 2019
Welcome to the Scramble 2019 Camps catalog. We are pleased to offer the following camps for Elementary-aged children (rising K to 5th Grade):
Spring Break Camp – April 15th through April 19th
Summer Break Camp – June 17th through August 30th
One week of camp will cost $250 (per child) with an additional supply fee of $30. This supply fee is the deposit required to reserve a space.
The standard camp day will be:
- Early drop-off from 8 a.m. ($5 per session)
- Drop-off starting at 8:50 a.m.
- Mid-morning snack (not provided)
- Lunch (bring own or order from Scramble): for only $5 a day, Scramble lunches include a sandwich (PBJ, turkey and cheese, or ham and cheese), chips, fruit cup and an Honest juice carton.
- Pick-up from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Late pick-up available ($5 per hour or part of) until 6 p.m. Aftercare snacks will be provided.

Notes:
- Given the variance in schedules, snack and lunch time are different for each age group.
- Continual water breaks are also taken throughout the day.
Weekly Themes
We have done our best to provide accurate descriptions of each weekly theme. The instructors will adjust pace and content to adapt to the skill levels for each activity and for each child in the camp – the aim is for everyone to engage in interactive learning and fun!
Spring Break Camp | April 15th – April 19th
Bring your child to Scramble to experience a week full of non-stop interactive play and fun! This week will combine a variety of themes described below. We look forward to welcoming your children to our innovative camps!
Week 1: Scramble Adventures | June 17th – June 21st
Have your child start their summer off right. This week will take your child on adventures around the world. Each day will be centered around multiple locations within several different continents through engaging in activities, crafts and language in countries such as Italy and France!
Week 2: The World Around Us | June 24th – June 28th
This week will allow for your future scientist to explore the world through the lens of science. From magnet experiments to learning about solids, liquids and goo your camper will acquire an understanding in the principal models that help shape the world around us. Activities throughout the week will be adapted to meet your campers needs.
Week 3: Stars & Stripes | July 1st – July 5th
This week your child will learn all about the history behind independence day. Each activity will be crafted to represent the Fourth of July!
Week 4: Artful Antics | July 8th – July 12th
This week will allow your budding artist to learn different drawing techniques and explore their creativity and imagination in a camp devoted to improving their skills. Comic strips, character, object, and many other types of drawing subjects will be developed over the course of each camp. Campers will proceed at their own pace, guided by our counselors able to show them how to tackle difficult subjects, inspire them to take risks on paper, and pull off amazing drawings to treasure.
Week 5: Go The Distance | July 15th – July 19th
Nonstop sports fun? Join us! Campers of all skill levels and abilities will learn the basics of sports such as soccer while learning the importance of teamwork and healthy competition. Don’t miss out!
Week 6: Imaginarium | July 22nd – July 26th
Does your child like to think outside the box? Build something awesome out of scratch? This week is devoted for the imagination. Your child will learn to use their imagination to build their own creations. Each camper will be given the choice to use a variety of materials provided to create a grand masterpiece, which they will present to the rest of their group and take home at the end of the week.
Week 7: Beyond the Board Game | July 29th – August 2nd
Do you like to play board games? This week will allow your camper to develop social skills through cooperate and Euro-style games. They will learn important skills like taking turns, patience, following instructions, teamwork, and strategic thinking. Additionally, your camper will be guided though the teamwork of cooperative play, the analytical skill of logic games and puzzles, and the ability to win and lose graciously with competitive games.
Week 8: Mission Impossible | August 5th – August 9th
Love mysteries and riddles? Then this is perfect for you. Your camper will take on the identity of a detective for the week. Each group will be given a mystery that they have to solve, but the question is who will solve it first? They will participate in scavenger hunts to discover hidden clues and riddles across Scramble play areas. Additionally, your camper will learn how to create their own secret code while deciphering others.
Week 9: Wonderland | August 12th – August 16th
Love adventure? Ever played Dungeons and Dragons? Sign your child up for the experience of a lifetime! Every camper will receive an adventure guide or starter kit. This camp will focus on role-playing for our older campers, while our younger campers will explore story-telling play. This will play a vital role in their cognitive development.
Week 10: Little Entrepreneurs | August 19th – August 23rd
What do you want to be when you grow up? Your camper will get the opportunity to explore their dreams on what owning their own business would be like. This camp will focus on creative thinking for our older campers, while our younger campers will explore their goals and ambitions through a visual dynamic.
Week 11: The Symphony of… | August 26th – August 30th
Don’t want summer to end? It doesn’t have to! Join us for one last week of interactive play and fun! This week will be centered around our 5 senses: sight, smell, touch, hearing and taste. Each day will focus on a different sense through various crafts and activities.
